I thank God for this FREE Nation and its founders who put GOD first in all of their decission making !! What a great opertunity we have espicially now, to lift up our leaders, including our president to GOD daily and asking for HIM to bring this selfserving leader and his party to finding CHRIST as their saviour!! GOD tills us in 11Chron. 7:14!! Both Dwight D. Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan took the presidential oath of office with their hand on this verse!!! Dwight D. Eisenhower also had his hand on Ps. 127:1, which reads; Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. I would encourage all who read this to look up these verses and memorize them and pray to that end, for this great country. Praise GOD HE is in controll of this country and those who lead us. Only when I saw how others live did I truly appreciate what we have in America. For those of you who are "lukewarm" in your patriotism, let me tell you that America is the GREATEST country on earth. Our leaders might be misguided or inexperienced but they will get us through tough times. Remember that God is on our side--and all we need do is to BELIEVE. A proud American veteran who believes in the God of Abraham and our great country, who believes in the Constitution and our guaranteed freedoms--and who will work to preserve them. Both of the recitations have the word " GOD " included. I was saddened while attending Junior High School when it was announced, that prayers would no longer be allowed to be said in the public schools,but I became overjoyed when President Eisenhower in 1954 signed the bill, adding the words "under GOD" in the Pledge of Allegiance. Our scouts meet after school, in the public schools, of the Urban areas and are taught about GOD and how HE created all things, on this earth. It is rewarding, to see positive reactions to these facts presented to them, without any repercussions from outsiders. Lastly, after one of our sessions, several of the boys asked me to present them with HOLY BIBLES. I did. However, the entire class working together faught this by either sneezing together as one class member approached the podium & he then said, "God bless you." After doing this the audiance immediately followed with a standing ovation. This corresponds to an NBC pole in which 14% of viewers declared they would rather have "God" removed from such things as the national motto & the pledge, but 86% said they would rather leave things the way they are. Isn't it strange how the feelings about this issue are so strong, and yet government is trying to fight the population? Why should we let the 14% call the shots? Shouldn't the 86% tell the 14% to "Shut up!"? And doesn't this violate the first amendment right to free exercise of the majority of American citizens? If the 14% don't like "under God", why don't they just not say it, and stop denying us our right to say it. And if they don't like prayer in schools, just instruct their kids not to participate while the rest of our kids do. They can sit quietly by while the rest of the kids exercise their free rights. And only through daily, God-willed prayer, will this Nation continue to be free! We MUST put God back in our homes, work, schools, churches and Whitehouse! And now I know that learning this as a child made me the proud American that I am today, praising God for giving us this beautiful land and freedoms that we enjoy. At a meeting just this last week, we stood up to recite our Pledge of Alligence to the Flag and I was so saddened by the number of young people who did not even know this pledge. They did not know to stand and put their right hand over their heart. It is so sad indeed to witness our young adults this way. May we fight to restore this in our schools so the future generations will again be standing tall, with their hand over their heart, reciting our Pledge! Why do we let them ?????? Do we not want God to be with us in our lives???? Do we really want to take him and his guidance out of our lifes???? I certainly don't. And everyone I know wants God in their life. What is wrong with government that they can't listen to the majority of the people of the United States of America. Why can they let a few misled people dictate to them. What about the rights of the majority of the God Loving people in America???? Let God be a part of all of our lives. Help us to teach our children about our rights, not about how some few people can dictate to us. God bless us every one.
