On Wednesday, January 27, 2010, President Obama will give his first official State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress. Please join The Presidential Prayer Team live prayer before, during, and after the address, as well as many other items to equip prayer for the nation’s leadership at this critical time.
Dear Presidential Prayer Team,
I want to thank you for turning the communications of this ministry in such a way that our hearts are drawn into prayer easily. What you are doing with the live feed, and even the simple, straight-forward layout of the recent emails, has gotten my attention. I have received the PPT emails for many years, but a long time ago became turned off by the over-emphasis on advertisements.
Now I am beginning to look forward to opening these emails, knowing I will be led in simplicity and wisdom before the throne of God along with many others who gather in unity to pray for our President and nation.
I’m thankful to find a place to leave you a thank you note.

I am praying for President Obama constantly, Psalm 109:8.
I will pray every day for the President and the State of the Union Address.
It is vital that we pray in earnest for our nations leaders as well as the President..I am praying and fasting during this season and in a concentrated way and directed to the heart of things Where God works..Many people are in transition at all levels and we need chang in good ways for the stability of this nation of the USA
I always pray for our leaders,especially for our President and I will pray for the State of the Union Address.

Praise God for an opportunity to respond to the Scriptures that we are to pray for our leaders. In our home, we pray throughout the day for our President. We believe that God holds believers accountable. Thank God for our President and for this website that has prayed so diligently for our leaders. Blessings!!!
According to the Word of God, it is always better to pray and to seek the Lord first in all things. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)
First of all Praise God for another day that was not promised to us, but by His grace and mercy this day came to be. We all know that our nation is in trouble and it did not start just a year ago this has long been coming. I pray for the nation, leaders, president, congress, house and all those who have a part in making decisions for the people. I just pray that each of them seek the face of God before making any decisions are made for this county. Let them not use their authority for selfish gain. Only God can turn this thing around, but we need for our leaders especially the president to fall upon his face to seek direction from the Lord. Everything the president does will of course not make everyone happy because there is no way you can do that, but I need for President Obama to cry out to God and let God lead him and let God direct his pathway. I pray that President Obama leans not to his own understand but in all his ways acknowledge God. For we all know that we can not make it without God ordering our steps. I just want peace of this nation and there is so much hatred going on that it just makes my heart heavy and that we all can’t love one another. I had a man to tell me that we as Americans are still so wonderfully blessed but we have a lot of lip service. God bless this nation and all that are in it….

Father GOD,
I commit our President, (Obama) and his family into Your Loving Hands. I ask that you put a (hedge) of protection over him and his family from (Satan)the evil one (Job 1:10) the devil (1Peter 5:8). Father God make him a man after your own heart like King David (Acts 13:21-22) in that he would seek your face if he is doing anything wrong and that he would repent before you alone (Psalms 51). Let him know Lord that You are the potter and all of us just clay in your hands (Isaiah 64:8). May he come to know you and love with all his heart, soul, mind and strength like Jesus said in (Mark 12:30-34). Give him wisdom and knowledge like King Solomon (2Chronicles 1:11). Father God forgive our country for the bloodshed of all the unborn children. I know it is one of the 7 things you hate and is an abomination (to shed innocent blood Proverbs 6:16).
Hopefully President Obama will read this prayer and take it seriously in Jesus Name I pray. Amen

Praying for the President and our country is vital. Not just at events, but daily and constantly. May he look to the Lord for guidance and may God draw him near to Him. 2 Chronicles 7:14: “if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” Thank you, PPT for the daily prayers and readings that you provide.
This is a great idea ~ Have been, will be and will continue to pray for our president and government leaders.Even more so with this new way the Lord is leading the presidential prayer team leaders. Thank-you for the freedom to pray publicly online. I (along with many others) have been praying for Presiident Obama a year before he was elected & will continue to do so. You command us (in your Word) to pray for our leaders. May “no weapon formed against him (& the US) prosper.” I don’t have any control over anyone else or anything. BUT GoD you are in control & you know the final outcome of all things. Your Word also says…”If GoD are for us, who can be against us.” Though many may try, “we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus whom strengthens us.”I pray that President Obama & his family will continue to draw nigh to you & you will draw nigh to them. Be with all of our leaders regardless of their party. My desire is that you receive all the glory, honor & praise. I humbly ask these things in the precious name of your son, Jesus. AMEN!
I declare blessing on all those who are lifting up our president, family and his team. They are doing everything humanly possible to get us out of this mess. Unfortunately, man cannot deliver us from these strong holds. I am asking all those who love God and this country to fast and pray as the Holy Spirit give you the unching. I will fast and pray every Wednesday starting tommorrow until things change for the better for America.

We should establish a regular day of fasting so Jesus can draw all men unto Him. And pray with on accord. God will bring revival to our land. I will join you in fasting this Wednesday. A time should be established so the fasting will be done in unity. May the Lord bless and keep Stanley Nevels and all the PPT members who join in this fast. I pray that God will put a hedge of protection around President Obama tonight when he makes his State of the Union Address. May God watch over his family and keep them from harm. May those who are quick to judge be stopped from judging the President’s speech and may we all work together for peace in the world. Peace will only take place when we all work together.. First of all may God bless you all. It makes me so happy to see some many others working together to pray for our nation and for President Obama. It’s nice to see what others think who do not hate nor worship Obama, like a few I have seen with signs out on the side of the road.
I can recall back when i was like ight or seven we’d have an election and it wouldn’t matter one way or the other for me. I thought there was always two people running for the election and one was bad and one was good. This is about the first time I’ve ever thought more about the election of Obama.
I won’t bother you with my life story, but you can most likely remeber some of the same. This is not my concern, but more of the things children learn in school or hear on the street.
Should we just let kids hear about such things as abortion (which in my book and in God’s book is considered MURDER) and drugs and evolution all okay. I have a friend who’s in fifth grade and she already knows more than me about certain issues like the one I mention up top. She hasn’t took any part in them yet as far as I know (and pray she never will) but her parents see it as okay to tell her all this.
And evolution? Survival of the fittest? Apemen? Don’t tell me these are perfectly fine to share in our public schools.
I won’t try to say any more, but I’m desperatly praying everyday that the same almight God that saved and changed me can save and change Obama’s life as well. Prayer and petiton is about the only way now, because if we do everything in love and in everything good and right in the Lord’s eyes, and if our God is for us, then who could ever stand up against us.
May God truly bless you PPTs and may He speak to you today is an incredible way.

May we not focus on one commandment, but all the commandments as you summarized them: 1) Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and 2) Love your neighbor as yourself. May we express this love for this President and others as you have defined as patient, kind, does not envy, does not boast, is not proud, is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs, does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth, always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. We stand on these your words for this President today as he addresses our country in the capacity which you have placed him according to your Sovereign Will. Amen.

O God, forgive us within the Body of Christ for our disunity and infighting. The way we make our political affiliations more important than our unity as brothers and sisters in Christ, no matter how we voted. Thank you for the PPT, which has encouraged us to pray for our elected leaders, regardless of who is in office. Thank you for encouraging me to pray for this president, protection for his family, the tough decisions he must make. I pray that You would change his heart, O God, about abortion, and that he would use the influence of his office to proclaim the sanctity of all human life. Help him to humble himself before you, to seek your guidance, to pray for wisdom as he leads this powerful nation with its many blessings. Heavenly Father, you know our hearts better than we know our own. I ask for your mercy to show us how you see us. I ask that since you see into each heart that you will remove from office any one who refuses to acknowledge you or obey you. I ask you to replace them with someone who will. I ask for the fear of the Lord to settle over this land so that we will be known for being God fearing, obeying and God loving people. Once again, His Excellency the President Obama in his State of the Union Address spoke a lot of wisdom. His spirit and passion of optimism with a hope for a better tomorrow for America and the world at large was very challenging.
He did not just project a false confidence to work on bringing a change but addressing the realities of issues facing the socio-economic state of affairs of this nation, he come out with a down to earth proposed practical solutions to solve the problems and to bring a change.
His heart for the poor, needy and the underprivileged even those beyond the borders of the US (especially Haiti at this point in time)is very admirable; his willingness to cut off the middle men that exploits the middle class low income families and individuals is highly appreciated.
With all these said and as proposed, we just have to contribute our part as he called on all to work together to bring changes and continue to support him and his administration with our prayers for God Almighty to work it out and bring these proposals and plans to pass. For it is not by might nor by power .
